Meet Shea.
The beginning.
I'm the Founder and CEO of Insight Planning, a wealth management firm for successful people in life's busiest season looking to simplify their life and take back their time.
My path here was set early. I started my first business at 12, inspired by entrepreneurial parents and a local banker who handed me “The Wealthy Barber.”
That book, combined with my dad's passing when I was 19 without proper planning, set my path forward in life.
The realization.
After two decades inside some of Canada's largest financial institutions, I came to see that much of what was called “financial planning” was really product sales in disguise.
Built to move products, not to put clients first.

My Guiding Principles.
Three ideas that shape everything I do.
Money is fuel, not freedom.
Financial planning is not about accumulating. It is about aligning your resources with your real life. You don't want to be rich, you want to be free.
Systems beat willpower.
You do not rise to the level of your goals, you fall to the level of your systems. A great plan runs in the background so you can focus on living.
Life's middle is messy, and meaningful.
You're still figuring out who you are, just with mortgages, kids, and aging parents now. You don't need perfection. You need presence.
Beyond the numbers.
For me, it all comes back to a simple philosophy I share with my wife, Trish, and our three kids: work hard, laugh often, and protect Saturdays by the lake.
The arena of life changes, but the passion for what truly matters stays the same.
